The Edmonton Oilers have been a major surprise in the early part of the NHL season, and with all of their young players, they’re one of the most exciting teams in the league. However, they’re currently slumping and the Oilers will hope to be out of it by the time Saturday rolls around, when they’ll go for their first win in three tries against their rivals from Calgary.

Oilers Flames Odds – Saturday, 10:00 PM ET

The Oilers had dropped four of their last five after a loss to the Flames on Saturday, and many bookies that use price per head services are backing off Edmonton, whose offense is struggling with Taylor Hall on the sidelines. The defense is regressing as well and the Oilers have two chances to fix things as they host Carolina and Colorado this week.

The Flames followed up their big win in Edmonton with a 5-1 loss in Vancouver, and backup goalie Henrik Karlsson is still looking for his first win of the season.  Calgary will also host Carolina and Colorado this week as the teams make their trips through western Canada, and the Flames will be looking to get to .500 before the Oilers come to down.

Calgary should be the home favorites with two wins over Edmonton this season, and they’ve won nine in a row at the Saddledome over their neighbors to the north. Four of the last five have gone over the posted total, and you can expect a couple of fights as well. Both teams are a little shorthanded due to injuries, but taking Calgary at home is the play to make at sports betting sites.
