|NHL Betting – What Can The Stretch Run Tell You About The Playoffs?|

There are no more NHL standings to keep track of as the playoffs are here and that means it’s time to start thinking about who you are going to pick to win the Stanley Cup. But hopefully you were watching over the last month or so, because you can learn a lot about a team during the stretch run to the playoffs.
You can definitely boost your chances at online betting sites if you watched the NHL leading up to the playoffs, because every team that is in the postseason were playing pressure-packed games down the stretch and that can only prepare you for the actual heat of the second season (although many NHLers will tell you that this time of year is completely different from anything they’ve experienced). This is especially true for the teams at the bottom half of each conference, because they’ve been playing elimination games of sorts for a week or two now, so it allows you to see who can handle that pressure.
The NHL also isn’t like many leagues, such as the NFL and MLB, in that you don’t usually see teams rest their players, which gives you an idea of the team and line combinations that you are likely to see in the playoffs. Some teams may use this time to try new combos, but at this time of the year, most coaches aren’t going to mess with what got them to the playoffs: that could cast a real shadow over their sports betting online odds.
